Welcome to Northeast Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, where we specialize in caring for children.
Since 1964, we have been providing our patients with the quality service they deserve and expect. We provide pediatric medical care for children from birth to twelve years of age, and adolescent care from twelve to twenty-one years of age. In addition to seeing patients in our offices, we care for newborns and children who need hospital care at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca.
All of our physicians are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and are experienced in pediatric and adolescent medicine.
When your family joins Northeast Pediatrics, you will be asked to select a primary care physician (PCP). Routine well-child checks are scheduled with your Primary Care Physician or a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. We work in loose "teams" and make every effort to ensure that you see the same MD and PNP for most routine visits.
While we make every effort to ensure that most of your child's visits will be with his PCP or PNP/PA, there will be times--particularly for urgent care visits--when your regular doctor is not in the office or is unavailable when you need an appointment. For this reason, each practitioner in the office provides cross-coverage for the others. We all have ready access to your child's chart, results of tests done in our lab, and notes from specialists in the community, and we do not hesitate to consult one another with questions.
Your child's behavioral and emotional health are just as important as their physical health. If you have concerns that your child may be experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges, please call our office to schedule an appointment. Based on the severity and nature of the concern, your child's doctor may decide to manage your child within the practice or refer to a partnering professional in our community. We have many qualified professionals that we work with within the community. See our link under Patient Education for further information.
